Toyota’s premium sedan, the Avalon, just got a whole lot better for 2017, and is now available at a price point that will make you take notice.
Both the SE+ variant priced at AED 135,000 as well as the Limited variant priced at AED 157,000, produce 273bhp and offers a fuel economy of up to 12 kmpl.
Combining Toyota’s reliability with a luxury touch, the 3.5L V6 engine is a good choice if you want a balance between refinement and reason.
Saud Abbasi, Managing Director of Toyota at Al-Futtaim Motors reiterates this. He says the Avalon is a car for those who want “luxury” with the “dependability of a Toyota” as well as “space”, “comfort” and “advanced technology”.
The lower priced Avalon includes smart entry, remote engine starter, voice control, leather seats, 11-speaker JBL audio, 10 airbags with new Tire Pressure Warning System (TPWS), and a sunroof.
The more expensive variant offers an 8-inch rear seat entertainment system with mirroring function for wireless display of Apple or Android devices, HDMI, USB and SD Card inputs, paddle shifts for a sportier drive, LED headlights, multi-stage ventilated front seats, and premium leather seats.
You have nine exterior colour options and the interior comes with grey accent stitching on the leather. `
While the interior looks amazing, the 4.2” TFT display is smaller than the competition and the lack of luxury features such a panoramic roof, adaptive cruise control, mood lighting or lane keeping assist, is a let-down.
That said, if you are looking for a car that isn’t temperamental or extravagant and dependable in the long-run, this is a must on your short list for test drives.
